Laurie Ann is a real estate instructor, content developer, and Broker-in-Charge of her own real estate business based in Wilmington, North Carolina. After growing up in eastern North Carolina and spending time living in other parts of the state, she was drawn back to the coast by Wilmington’s relaxed lifestyle and the Cape Fear region’s rich history and vibrant culture. Before transitioning fully into real estate in 2013, Laurie Ann built a successful career spanning more than 20 years in marketing communications, finance, and business development. Her passion for real estate grew through years of hands-on experience in property management, buying and selling homes, and renovation projects, giving her a practical understanding of the industry from multiple perspectives. In 2016, Laurie Ann discovered her passion for teaching and realized this was where she could make the greatest impact. Since then, she has taught prelicensing, postlicensing, and continuing education courses across North Carolina, helping hundreds of students build the knowledge and confidence needed to succeed in real estate. Her instruction is grounded in real world experience and strengthened by a strong academic foundation, including a BS in Business from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an MBA from Duke University. In addition to teaching, Laurie Ann has written and developed course content and instructional materials for real estate schools across the country. Known for her clear, practical teaching style and student focused approach, she is committed to helping learners understand the “why” behind the rules, not just memorize facts, so they feel prepared for both the exam and real-world practice.
